Andelcare is currently looking for a CNA / HCA who is Nurse Delegated to work with a young child ( 4 years old ) who has Cerebral Palsy
We are looking for a long term type position for this young client and her family.
The Schedule is 7 days a week as follow:
7:00 AM to 9:00 AM Monday through Friday
3:30 PM to 8:30 PM Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Wednesday
8AM to 4:00 PM Saturday and Sunday
Other hours maybe added on an ad hoc basis with pay
Periodic international travel may be needed
- Live-in or out, a nice guest room and private restroom is provided for you at no cost to you if you choose to live or stay with the family.
-Car provided for work activities only
- Pay is $25 an hour
About this client :
She is a medically complex child who is non-verbal, has cerebral palsy with limited or no trunk control, is wheelchair-dependent, and receives all nutrition via G-tube. She also requires a daily respiratory-care regimen. We are seeking a compassionate, patient, medically knowledgeable, and reliable caregiver who can meet her specialized needs.
The caregiver will support the client with all activities of daily living, G-tube feedings, medication administration, respiratory treatments (including CPT Vest therapy, Cough Assist, nebulizer treatments, and suction), mobility and transfer assistance, and safe transportation to and from school and therapy appointments. Experience with medically complex children is strongly preferred, along with comfort operating adaptive equipment and following a structured routine.
Physical Requirements
1) Ability to lift 40+ lbs
2) Able to bend, kneel, and assist with transfers
3) Endurance for active caregiving
4) Positive energy and engagement
Qualifications & Skills:
1) Experience with medically complex children preferred
2) CNA, or HCA certification preferred
3) Experience with G-tubes or willingness to be trained
4) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
5) CPR & First Aid certified
6) Reliable, patient, calm under pressure
7) Strong communication with family and care team
8) Must pass background checks and provide references

2) Maintain therapy and play areas
3) Child’s laundry
4) Track and restock supplies
Equipment Handling & Maintenance
Operate, clean, and maintain:
Wheelchair and adaptive seating
G-tube pump/supplies
CPT vest
Cough Assist
Nebulizer and suction machine
Bathing equipment
Report equipment concerns
