We have a full-time opening for an RDA/EFDA position. We are a well-established, single doctor general/cosmetic dental practice seeking a personable, highly motivated and professional full-time dental assistant to join our team. We are a digital office, charts, x-rays and scanner. Our team focuses on respect, family, efficiency, laughter, patient care and excellence in dentistry. You need a strong work ethic, great customer service skills, and a healthy positive attitude. A sense of humor is a plus!

We want you to be skilled in providing direct and indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. You should have at least 2 years dental assisting experience.
Responsibilities
Welcome patients in the dental office
Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort
Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed
Sterilize instruments according to regulations
Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry, quickly and efficiently
Take necessary digital xrays and photos
Undertake lab tasks as instructed-pour up casts, make bleach trays
Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
Keep all operatory dental rooms clean and well-stocked
Help schedule appointments
Maintain accurate patient records
Order necessary supplies for the office
Assist with payment procedures
Answer phones/make calls when needed
Assist/help with hygiene (they are awesome :-) )
Skills
Proven experience as dental assistant
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
Understanding of health & safety regulations
Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
Good computer skills-we use Dentrix
Excellent communication and people skills
Attention to detail
Well-organized, reliable and professional
High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred

Office hours of patient care: Monday-Thursday 7:15am to 3:15pm
You would typically show up at 6:45am for the morning set up and huddle to prepare for the day. We normally take an hour for lunch, but as all dental schedules have their surprises, it may be longer or shorter from day to day.
