We are looking for a personal care assistant to support a spinal cord injured individual. You must be a good communicator, both listening and talking. Reliability and a positive attitude are essential. Having a sense of humor will make you a good candidate.
We are looking to fill two positions. One full-time day shift, Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3 pm., and one Saturday and Sunday 7am to 3pm and Monday and Tuesday evening, 7pm to midnight. Experience preferred, will train. All care is directed by the client. Female caregiver preferred for full time day position.
Responsibilities include;
Repositioning the client while in bed, ensuring good alignment.
Transferring, with the help of a lift, the client into his chair or the shower chair
Assisting with toileting, bathing, dressing.
Assistance with medication.
Necessary housekeeping and food preparation.
Must be able to pass a background check with fingerprints.
Benefits: This position is paid through Consumer Direct Care Network. Rate is $21.44-$24.26. Pay includes paid time off, potential for health benefits. Training is paid and hourly rate dependent on your current training or experience.
