Medical/Office Assistant Position

Position: Medical Assistant/Office Assistant

Location: Private Family Practice

Hours: 30 hours per week

Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual seeking a rewarding opportunity in the healthcare field? Our small Private Family Practice is currently seeking a dedicated Medical/Office Assistant to join our team. This position offers 30 hours per week within a dynamic and supportive work environment. Get days off on major holidays.

Responsibilities:

Welcome and greet patients warmly, ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out

Assist with appointment check-in and check-out processes

Prepare patients for examination by rooming them and accurately recording their medical history (Triage)

Collaborate with the healthcare provider and others to optimize scheduling, workflow, and medical records management

Maintain a professional office environment by restocking supplies and ensuring cleanliness

Monitor patient flow to ensure adherence to the schedule

Manage inventory and facilitate supply ordering as needed

Conduct patient call-backs, appointment reminder calls, and communicate with pharmacies

Assist with some procedures and injections, as well as perform venipunctures and EKGs

Requirements:

Essential front desk skills and exceptional customer service abilities

Positive attitude and willingness to work diligently

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Professionalism in demeanor and appearance

Ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently

Fast learner who can adapt to change easily.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word, and willingness to train - EHR and other software.

Adherence to HIPAA professional standards, policies, and procedures.

Current active CPR certification or willingness to train in CPR and OSHA once a job offer is extended.

Reliability and capability to work independently when needed

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a healthcare setting is advantageous but not mandatory

Medical Assistant students or individuals with a background in healthcare are encouraged to apply

Willingness to pursue Medical Assistant licensure in the future
