Synergy Medical Systems is seeking a full-time Orthotic Fitter in Seattle Washington.

A fitter provides education to patients on the application, use, care, and expected outcome for durable medical equipment (DME) products as indicated by the physician instructions and manufacturer recommendations. Maintain confidential patient data as required by Medicare guidelines and company policy.

Essential Functions for a Orthotic Fitter:

-Deliver and fit patient for DME products.

-Execute minor modifications as necessary.

-Collect co-payments from the patient at the time of fitting.

-Load patient information in Empower.

-Restock inventory at stock and bill clinics.

-Provide customer service to patients, including instructions for use of equipment and follow-up calls.

-Comply with all elements of HIPAA, Medicaid, and other required programs.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):

-Highschool diploma or equivalent

-Active listening, reading and comprehension skills for analyzing reports, charts and correspondence.

-Good interpersonal skills and ability to build professional relationships with physicians, therapists and patients.

-Ability to work effectively as a team member

-Prior medical background preferred

-Customer service experience preferred

-Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word

-Excellent oral/written communication skills

-Excellent customer relationship skills

-Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities

Physical Requirements:

-Ability to lift patients using biomedical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds of weight alone.

-Ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a work day

-Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written direction.

-Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions

-Fine motor skills adequate for scheduling and preparing patients, equipment and supplies for treatment.

-Ability to participate in sustained activities for many hours in duration in accordance with state labor laws
