Job Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will play an important role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and the ability to maintain accurate medical documentation.
Duties :
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and medical history updates.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Perform basic laboratory tasks such as taking impressions or fabricating temporary crowns.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment within the dental clinic.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in dental terminology and familiarity with dental clinic systems.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
Understanding of anatomy related to dental health.
Experience with medical documentation and maintaining accurate medical records is preferred.
Ability to take vital signs accurately.
Previous experience in endodontics or related fields is a plus but not required.
Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
