Job Summary
The Auto Body Prepper must oversee and complete tasks that are necessary for prepping customer vehicles such as sanding, prepping, and cleaning surfaces for paint technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare automobile surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and removing debris
Communicate clearly and reliably with the rest of the auto body shop team
Keep work surfaces clean
Assist paint technicians with applying paints/needed solutions to automobiles
Mask areas of the automobile for precise paint application
Functional / Technical Knowledge:
Knowledge in auto-body painting
Ability to properly prep paints, primers, and other materials
Skills & Abilities Requirements:
Work independently without close supervision.
Flexible/adaptable to constant change.
Highly organized; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
Ability to prioritize, organize and plan work under own initiative.
Strong communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening).
