Boat painters and bottom paint preppers needed! Very busy boat yard in Des Moines marina is looking for bottom painters and preppers to start right away. Ideal candidate will have experience prepping and painting the hulls of powerboats and sail boats. A person with experience in auto body painting would also be able to transition to this position easily.
Candidates with proven history and background of bottom painting will start at a higher wage based on that experience.
We are willing to train the right person as well. Candidates must be able to work independently with little supervision, be able to lift 50lbs, be able to bend, stoop and work in often inclement weather. Bottom painters work wearing full respirators and full tyvex type suits so being comfortable with those conditions is required.
This is a full time position Mon- Fri 8 hours a day with overtime available often.
