Position Overview:
As a Foreman at WA Underground Inc., you’ll be the leader on our job sites, ensuring that our excavation projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards. Your role will involve overseeing daily operations, managing crews, and coordinating with project managers. If you’re a skilled professional with a passion for leading teams and delivering quality work, we want you to be a part of our family.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the daily operations of excavation projects, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
Lead and mentor a team of workers, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications and deadlines are met.
Enforce safety protocols and company policies on the job site to maintain a safe working environment.
Monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with project plans and specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve
Qualifications:
Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
Several years of hands-on experience in construction or excavation, with a deep understanding of industry practices and procedures.
Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in excavation and construction.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
Previous experience managing or supervising a team, with the ability to delegate tasks effectively.
Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and best practices, with relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 30-hour certification).
Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive team environment.
Strong organizational and time management skills to plan and prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to adjust to changing circumstances, project demands, and unforeseen challenges
