Colo in seattle operates 18,000 sqft of Data Center in Tukwila, WA. We are looking for someone who is interested to learn to be a facility technician. You will be working with another technician who will show you the ropes. The person in this role will be responsible for the upkeep of critical infrastructure that needs to be online 24/7. The ideal candidate will have a deep passion for facility maintenance (UPS, Generator, Chillers, CRAH, etc) with a positive, can do attitude.
Qualifications:
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs equipment and working in restricted spaces
Able to work in a climate controlled and noisy environment for long periods of time
Ability to work unsupervised
Skills/Characteristics:
Technically/Mechanically incline
Ability to triage and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail yet able to understand the big picture
High sense of urgency for completion of critical tasks
Quick but also precise, able to follow procedures accurately and reliably
General willingness to jump in and tackle challenges as they arise
Always looking to improve processes and willingness to try new methods of improvement.
Results-driven individual who does whatever it takes to succeed and loves a challenge.
