We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Foreman to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, Spanish and English speaking, and a commitment to safety and quality. As a Concrete Foreman, you will play a crucial role in various construction projects, assisting in the preparation, pouring, and finishing of concrete structures. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other on-site.
Responsibilities:
-Primary on-site contact for all project needs, check in with GC daily.
-Set scheduling, monitor attendance and assign project tasks to the crew.
-Schedule material deliveries in-line with overall project timeline or reach out to the Superintendent to help.
-Manage and ensure accountability of subcontractors.
-Ensure job site safety compliance and immediately address any safety issues.
-Maintain Daily Reports including accurately recording time worked and materials uses and send these to the Superintendent at the end of each work day.
-Train Laborers to onboard safely and develop into skilled crew members.
-Divide scope of work into different stages and evaluate how much labor and materials will be required for each stage with respect to how the project was bid.
-Analyze project plans and assist with layout. Proved clarity for the crew on any questions or issues that arise, work with the GC to solve any onsite issues or discrepancies.
-Oversee that formwork and/or shoring are erected, supported and dismantled based on engineer designs and drawings.
-Quality Control of all work
-Complete a pre-pour checklist to make sure everything is ready before the delivery of concrete.
-Make sure company vehicle's and tools are properly maintained and secured.
Experience:
-Previous experience in concrete or related construction roles preferred.
-Familiarity with construction estimating software such a ProCore is a plus.
-Knowledge of blueprint reading and construction management principles is beneficial.
-Supervisory experience may be considered an asset for candidates looking to advance within the company.
