Title: Material Handler | Location: Sumner, Washington | Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 / Hour, DOE | Day shift: Monday – Friday | 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectively follow all established policies, procedures, and safety rules.
Utilize load and stop-order loading cards, temperature consideration, and weight distribution.
Case pick and palletize orders.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and instructions.
Use bulkheads and load locks when loading & unloading less than truckload (LTL) temp-controlled trailers.
Operate hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other handling equipment.
Receive temp-controlled freight.
Sort, count by case and pallet, tag and temperature check freight.
Perform basic warehouse cleaning and forklift/ equipment maintenance tasks.
Professionally interface with other employees and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High school diploma or technical certificate and previous work-related experience.
Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Knowledge of bill of ladings and other shipping documents.
Ability to lift fifty pounds and stand for up to ten-hour days.
Work in a multi-temperature warehouse, up to freezing temperatures.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Reliable and committed with a strong sense of urgency.
Work with limited assistance/supervision.
Forklift certification. (Not required)
