Hope the new year is treating you well. Alki Deck Builders is hiring one novice carpenter.
Essentially you will be helping a lead carpenter build decks.
We are not some huge custom home builder that subs everything out, so you will be physically building every part of the deck from pouring the footing, to the frame, to the surface to the railings.
We even bend a few deck boards here and there.
A little about us:
We like to build decks and have a good time doing it.
Most of the guys on the team spend there free time making music or indie games and such.
Our work exudes subtle excellent.
We like building decks because they are the highest ratio of fun to BS.
Our jobs are mostly higher-end decks in West Seattle.
Who you are:
Obviously, you have a vehicle and drivers license,
You have your own tools (an impact driver and the basic carpentry tools, we supply the larger specialty tools)
You have at least 1-2yrs experience in the trades (preferably 3-5)
You can work independently or on a team.
You are a quick learner and have a strong work ethic and some skills.
And of course, you should be jazzed about building decks.
