KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION:
Knowledge of ordering procedures and quality control practices
Knowledge of loading, lifting, and stacking procedures
Knowledge of equipment safety and maintenance procedures
Ability to read and understand orders and write legibly
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Retrieve orders from the shipping desk.
Provide a quality check on all orders for any misprints, false quantities, non-stocked items, closed carton orders, partial quantities, double orders, or ship widths, and follow the correct department picking order.
Inspect all products for evidence of dents, dust, or paint blemishes before pulling the order.
Transport products by lifting and hand loading onto pallets and return pallets to the pre-staging wrapping area.
Stack and arrange pallets for safe and proper delivery.
Inspect pallets for proper stickers, addresses, labeling, and display positioning.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
