Job purpose:
Under the general direction of the Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Manager performs assigned warehouse activities while leading the team of Warehouse Assistants.
Duties and responsibilities:
Maintain order and a tidy warehouse.
Assert yourself to ensure that inventory coming and going is dealt with responsibly.
Operate a forklift, to unload and move pallets as needed.
Drive a company parts van or parts truck and deliver parts locally to support the field service technicians.
Stage parts, equipment, tools, etc. for remote electrical, electronics, and scale service jobs.
Participate in periodic inventories.
Notify purchasing team if depleted items need re-order.
Maintain vehicle maintenance log.
Inspect tools like hand drills, etc. to ensure they are in good shape. Alert the Purchasing Team when replacements are needed.
Package items to ensure their safety during shipping transit.
Verify packing lists for accuracy and ship items both domestically and internationally.
Occasionally work with LTL shippers to get good pricing and schedule pickups.

Accurately fill orders.
Check warehouse safety.
Follow import/export regulations for all shipments.

Qualifications:
Two-years relevant experience.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Must be able to lift items up to 50lbs.
Must be familiar with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Excel and other associated programs.
Must be self-motivated and team oriented.
Must pass a background screening.
Personal Characteristics: problem solving, confidential and ethical, and a team player.
Experience driving a forklift is preferred and/or the ability to attain certification.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; any incumbent must be committed to self-development including lifelong learning, regardless of their formal education.
Physical requirements:
Ability to:
1. Operate warehouse equipment and vehicles, including a delivery truck, forklift.
2. Inspect incoming shipments and compare to purchase orders.
3. Complete and maintain records and forms related to warehouse operations.
4. Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
While performing the duties of this position, an employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; and drive a vehicle. An employee is required to lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 100 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. An employee also is regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch or crawl, climb or balance.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth
perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee works in a warehouse and is required to operate a forklift etc, and perform daily activity in a sometime loud and noisy environment.
