Seaview Boatyard West is currently seeking a well-organized, detail-oriented, highly motivated individual with excellent customer service skills to work the yard store and purchasing department at our Shilshole Bay Marina location in Seattle.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, flexible employee with a solid work ethic, strong customer service skills and a good sense of humor who thrives on working in a diverse and fast-paced environment. This position requires an individual who is professional, positive, able to work independently, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Position also requires the ability to work as part of a team that includes 20 boat repair technicians, management and office staff, providing support for each position as required. Boat knowledge is a plus but not required.
Primary responsibilities include purchasing/receiving of inventory and non-stock parts, job costing, product research, inventory control, data entry/parts posting, accurate paperwork processing, maintaining tool checkout system and over the counter retail sales.
Requires strong computer skills - proficiency in Windows, MS Office applications as well as an excellent ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. Position requires the ability to work as part of a team that includes 20 boat repair technicians, management and office staff, providing support for each position as required. A good sense of humor, common sense and the ability to interact with co-workers, sub-contractors, customers and vendors in a positive, friendly and collaborative manner will serve as a great asset in this position. Boat knowledge is a strong plus, but not essential.
Requirements:
Computer skills including familiarity with Windows-based software, data entry and MS Excel
Ability to multi-task and respond appropriately to constant change in priorities as necessary.
Strong customer service skills and professional manners.
Effective communication skills.
Clean driving record and valid driver’s license are essential.
