Small, fast-paced neighborhood firm in South Seattle. Job is in person, 3 blocks from a light rail station. 25 billable hours per week.

We litigate family law, as well as some personal injury, real estate, etc. We provide personalized service to clients of all backgrounds and income levels, often working on tight timelines in high stress situations involving domestic violence, substance abuse, and/or the safety of children.

Strong skills in communicating with clients, colleagues, opposing parties, experts and court staff.
Ability to self-track tasks and projects, both long and short term.
High proficiency in Word, Excel, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Adobe.

3+ years of litigation experience required (family law is a plus!).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience reading and understanding court rules.
Experience working with courts in King and neighboring counties.
Sense of humor.
EXPECTATIONS:
Emailing and talking with clients and potential clients, completing new client intakes, gathering detailed information from current clients.
Filing pleadings in various counties (primarily King, Snohomish, and Pierce).
Reviewing, saving, and organizing large stacks of financial and medical records.
Formatting and proofing legal documents, drafting simple proposed orders and child support worksheets.
Maintaining an office calendar with strict deadlines and keeping the office apprised of upcoming deadlines. Own your tasks.
Problem solving on your own, asking questions when you can't find answers.
Meeting billable target of 25 hours per week.
Leading a team of 3-4 staff in supporting 3-4 attorneys.
