About this role:
Sabey is looking for a highly motivated, new attorney with an interest in joining the in-house legal department at a growing real estate company. You will be joining a small, dynamic legal team with an opportunity to assist in a wide variety of contracts, transactions and general corporate areas.
This position will report to the General Counsel and provide direct transactional support to internal groups as well as work closely with outside counsel on a variety of real estate and corporate related matters. The focus will include data center lease, license, and other commercial agreements.
The annual salary range for this role is $110,00-$134,000.
Your contribution will likely be:
Provide transaction management and support for Sales executives, including drafting, review, and negotiation of data center lease agreements, amendments, carrier license agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
Provide support to Senior Corporate Counsel with real estate and corporate transactions, including acquisitions, easements, financing, sales, and related due diligence review
Provide support to Property Management and Data Center Operations with review of vendor master service agreements
Support Senior Corporate Counsel with general corporate matters and various legal projects
Other projects and duties as assigned
Experience you will bring to the team:
Proof of passed State Bar Exam and proof of good standing
J.D. from an ABA – accredited law school
1+ years of relevant real estate experience
In-house legal experience within a corporate setting preferred
Established track record of success in legal matters in a continually changing work environment
Proven experience reviewing, drafting and editing leases and other commercial contracts
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, without compromising quality of work
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability and desire to work both independently and as a team to meet deadlines and drive transactions to completion
Ability to demonstrate strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Willingness to continually improve processes
Ability to provide outstanding service to a diverse group of internal stakeholders and Sabey’s customers
Advanced knowledge of the English language – excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with all levels of Sabey employees and business partners
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.
Must be detail oriented with the ability to maintain a strong focus on attention to detail
Must be committed to continuous learning and growing within the organization
