Amaya Family Law is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our

dynamic legal team. As a Legal Assistant, you will provide essential support to our attorneys in

delivering high-quality legal services to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute

to a reputable law firm and gain valuable experience in the legal field. This is a full-time

position. This position will be hybrid (remote and in person) with physical presence at the office

at the discretion of the lead attorney.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Assist attorneys in managing their caseloads by organizing and maintaining legal

documents, correspondence, and files.

Conduct legal research and compile relevant information for cases, ensuring accuracy

and completeness.

Prepare and draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and

agreements.

Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and court appearances for attorneys.

Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other

stakeholders to facilitate case management.

Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails,

managing attorney calendars and supporting Administrative Assistant as needed with

onsite needs for office space.

Assist in the preparation of trial materials, exhibits, and presentations.

Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to ethical standards of the

legal profession.

Stay updated with legal regulations, changes in legislation, and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies or a related field or Associate’s Degree in

Paralegal Studies or a related field.

Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal is preferred but not required.

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling legal documents.

Proficiency in legal research, using databases and online resources.

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe and

legal case management software.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.

Ability to track time in billing software.

Familiarity with King County and Snohomish County local court rules a plus.

Experience working with FamilySoft and/or Support Calc a plus.
