The Crumpet Shop is looking for a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our team and help us share the joy of crumpets with a broader audience.
Job Description:
As a Social Media Intern, you will be responsible for capturing the essence of The Crumpet Shop and engaging with our community through compelling content across various social media platforms. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about food, photography, and digital trends, and looking to gain hands-on experience in social media marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a social media content calendar that reflects and further develops our brand's voice and appeal.
- Monitor social media trends to ensure content is timely, engaging, and effectively reaching our target audience.
- Engage with our followers by responding to comments and messages in a timely and positive manner.
- Analyze social media performance and generate reports on engagement metrics to guide future content strategies.
- Visit the shop at least once per week to meet with the owners to discuss content ideas, upcoming events, and social media strategy. It's also a great time to capture photos and videos of our products, customers, and daily shop activities.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Photography, or a related field.
- Strong photography skills and a keen eye for aesthetics and visual storytelling.
- Proficient in social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
- Ability to identify and leverage current trends in digital media and food culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Residing in or near Seattle, with the ability to visit The Crumpet Shop weekly.
