We are a small company, specializing in custom picture framing and art installations. We have an opening for an art consultant. Hours will be up to 4 days a week- Monday through Thursday. Job duties will include working with customers, custom picture framing design, price quoting, answering calls, emailing clients, and designing art packages. Depending on the candidate’s specific skills and/or interests, additional duties may include picture framing or art installation.
Job duties include:
- Helping customers select moulding, mat boards, glazing, and other framing options
- Designing framing presentations for original art, prints, canvases, objects, jerseys, memorabilia, and mirrors
- Consulting and advice on design, art selection, placement, and installation
- Price quoting custom projects using specialized software
- Answering calls and helping customers with appointments and pricing
- Emailing and communicating with clients
- Deliveries and pick-ups
Depending on the individual we hire, the job may include additional duties and/or hours. This could include picture framing and/or art installation.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with picture framing or art handling
- A good eye for design
- Excellent attention to detail
- Professional communication
- Impeccable math/measuring skills
- Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others
- Basic computer knowledge
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Friendly and flexible - must be willing to work with any type of client
- Ability to safely lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to problem solve on the spot
- Punctuality is a must
Useful experience:
- Experience using tools
- Experience with Apple Computers
- Experience with photo editing software
- Spreadsheet & word processing
- Printing experience
- Interior design
- Craftsman / artisan
