We are hiring for an experienced art installer. This job encompasses residential and commercial art handling and installation. The position will start at 20-30 hrs a week (with potential to grow in the future). Hours will be during our business hours, and will generally be Monday through Thursday between 9am & 6pm, with the possibility of occasional Fridays. Appointments will vary week to week. Some amount of flexibility in schedule is required. No weekends!
Job duties include:
- Visiting homes and businesses to provide professional art hanging services
- Providing consultations and advice on art placement, collages, groupings, proper height, etc.
- Installing large-scale projects at commercial spaces, generally with T-lock security hardware
- Occasionally installing other fixtures that attach to a wall
- Deliveries and pick-ups
- Fine art handling
- Art packing
Depending on the individual we hire and our schedule any given week, there may be additional work available in our production facility.
Job Requirements:
- Experience with art handling is REQUIRED
- Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle (you will be using your own vehicle occasionally, mileage is reimbursed)
- Experience using hand tools, e.g. drill, tape measure, level, etc.
- Must be very comfortable doing basic math (measuring, fractions)
- Good “eye” for design
- Ability to work well in fast paced, deadline-oriented environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently or in collaboration with others
- Friendly and flexible - must be willing to work with any type of client
- PUNCTUALITY IS A MUST
- Ability to safely lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to problem solve on the spot
