Request for Proposals: Social Media Content Manager for Therapy Insights
We are seeking a talented and collaborative Social Media Content Manager to partner with us in shaping and executing a content strategy for Therapy Insights (@therapyinsights). Our company specializes in creating printable resources for speech and occupational therapists working in clinical settings. These resources are designed to make healthcare information accessible, empowering patients to make informed decisions while supporting therapists in delivering person-centered care.
What we’re looking for: We need a skilled professional who can bring expertise in content strategy and graphic design to our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Instagram content strategy and the creativity to showcase our unique, tangible, and visually engaging resources.
Our resources:
— Save therapists valuable time with practical and efficient tools.
— Empower patients by prioritizing their individual values and preferences.
— Feature high-quality graphics, illustrations, and thoughtful content tailored to clinical needs.
This is an ongoing role that requires a collaborative approach. To begin, the primary focus will be Instagram, with potential for expansion to Pinterest and LinkedIn over time. You will work closely with me (the owner) to maintain the brand's tone, values, and ethos.
Scope of work: Your responsibilities will include:
— Developing a revitalized content plan for Instagram.
— Creating a monthly posting schedule framework.
— Designing and sharing draft posts on a monthly basis.
— Incorporating feedback and scheduling finalized posts using Meta Scheduler.
Note: While I’ve included samples to showcase our current style of content, I’m open to re-imagining and evolving our approach. Bonus points for candidates who can collaborate with me to refine our strategy, boost engagement, and maintain the empathetic, non-shaming tone that defines our work.
This role does not include engaging directly with comments or DMs, which will remain my responsibility.
The ideal candidate:
— Graphic design expertise: Proficient in tools like Adobe Creative Suite to match our aesthetic and elevate visual storytelling.
— Content strategy insight: A knack for creating engaging, meaningful content that resonates with therapists and reflects the tangible, impactful nature of our resources.
— Healthcare experience: (Bonus) Familiarity with speech-language pathology or occupational therapy, particularly in clinical settings. Understanding the challenges therapists face is a major plus.
— Collaborative approach: A willingness to share ideas, accept feedback, and build a genuine connection with our audience without resorting to fear-based marketing tactics.
— Engagement-oriented: Enthusiastic about building authentic relationships with customers by communicating the value of our products in a way that empowers rather than pressures.
Our tone and approach: We are committed to standing apart from the fear-based and scarcity-driven marketing tactics prevalent in the field. Instead, our focus is on uplifting therapists, building trust, and emphasizing the meaningful connection between therapist and patient. Our resources are not marketed as “magic fixes,” but as tools that thoughtfully support and enhance therapy.
What you’ll work with:
— All graphic elements provided, including illustrations, new content PDFs, and user generated content.
— Clear direction on our brand’s tone and messaging.
— Support and collaboration to craft copy for posts as needed.
Proposal requirements: Your proposal should address the following:
— Your experience with social media content strategy and graphic design.
— Examples of past work relevant to our niche or comparable fields.
— Your proposed approach to revitalizing our Instagram presence.
— Expected rates and availability (Preferred: Flat rate proposals for monthly content batches, along with your availability).
Next steps: Applications will remain open on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Proposals are reviewed as they come in, and selected candidates will proceed to:
— A Zoom interview.
— A paid trial project to ensure a strong collaborative fit.
This is a unique niche requiring a nuanced understanding of the therapy community. If you’re passionate about creating meaningful content that empowers therapists and patients, we’d love to hear from you!
How to apply: Please email your proposal, portfolio, and any questions to the email link in this post. Include "Social Media Content Manager Proposal" in the subject line.
Therapy Insights is located in Missoula, MT. This will be a U.S.-based 1099 contract position.
