About the position and responsibilities:
The Marine Aluminum Boat Fabricator / Welder is a position at Wooldridge Boats. The role consists of:
Review boat work orders pre fabrication
Lay out patterns and cut materials in preparation for fabrication
Weld preparation
Aluminum Mig Welding
Understanding time management constraints
Receiving direction from welding supervisor
Work with safety at the forefront of importance
Documents and communicates information related to installations as needed
Trouble shoot problems and solves any issues related to installations and completion of the product
Must have skills:
MUST HAVE - Minimum 2 years Aluminum MIG welding experience
Exceptional attention to detail
Quick to adapt skills and knowledge to custom boats
Ability to read hand written notes and CAD drawings
Proficient at tack assembly in proper order
Capable of using various tools and equipment including forklift
Has knowledge and understanding of marine aluminum welding and fitment
Basic math and measurement capabilities
Can-do/positive attitude and even temperament
Problem solving that meets quality standards
Passion for producing a quality product efficiently
Strong communication skills and ability to work / coordinate in a team environment
Critical thinking and problem solving abilities
Experience working with hands, hand tools, power tools, tape measure, heavy machinery etc.
Comfortable in confined spaces
Mig welding in all physical positions with understanding of weld tie-in

Compensation: $25 - $35 per hour DOE, some exceptions if more experience
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Required Experience & Education:
High school Diploma (GED/High School Equivalence Certificate)
Three or more years of experience in a related field or education equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 60 lbs
Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to complete tasks
Must be able to work at heights and/or confined spaces
Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
