Diamond Technology Innovations is currently seeking an energetic individual committed to representing the company in a positive manner as a full-time CNC Lathe Machinist. The CNC Lathe Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce precision metal parts according to blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will be involved in maintaining equipment, performing quality checks, and ensuring the efficient production of parts with high accuracy and minimal waste. The candidate should have strong abilities to work well in a highly motivated team environment. Our work environment is fast-paced and requires team members to have technical aptitude and be detail-oriented, to learn quickly and have organizational skills, but most importantly to have a positive attitude and enjoy their job and their peers.
GENERAL DUTIES
Program, setup and run Multi-Axis CNC Lathes to maintain high quality tight tolerance machined parts.
Monitor multiple CNC machines in production.
Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's
Provide feedback and suggestions to management for continuous improvement of the company.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be methodical and can read and program NC code.
Ability to read blueprints and precision measuring instruments.
Good mechanical skills.
Must be punctual, positive minded & work well with others.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
Strong leadership potential.
Skilled communicator with the ability to work well in a highly motivated team environment.
Ability to work in a time sensitive environment.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Prior experience in ISO-9001 and/or AS-9100 certification environments would be a plus.
2- years technical degree (or apprenticeship certificate) or equivalent work experience.
Minimum 5 years’ experience setting up and operating Multi-Axis CNC Lathes
Experience with Swiss CNC Lathe
