Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a premier staffing firm, is presently seeking a dedicated CNC Machine Shop Lead for an esteemed client located in Marysville, WA. Our client is a renowned custom manufacturing company in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in aluminum casting and precision CNC machining.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations of the CNC machine shop, including production schedules, quality control, and maintenance.
Manage production, CMM inspection, setups, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Contribute ideas and thoughts for process improvement, tooling, and fixture design to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
Lead and mentor a team of CNC machinists and operators, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality output.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop and implement new machining techniques and processes.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machinery or production processes in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of production activities, including work orders, machine logs, and inspection reports.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal mills, with pallet changers.
Strong knowledge of aluminum casting and working with materials such as brass and bronze.
Experience with CMM inspection and various measuring tools and techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be able to pass a drug screen.
