We are looking for skilled:
Press Brake Set Up / Brake Form Operator
To operate a variety of machines to perform assigned tasks. You will produce precision aerospace parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.
Requirements and skills
- Perform precision press operations to produce materials according to specifications and on schedule.
- Inspect the materials produced for quality and conformity; correct any inconsistencies.
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Motor skills, press brake machines have multiple settings and levers that must be adjusted for each job and quickly manipulated to complete job.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required.
- Proven experience and skill as Press Operator
- Experience in using manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines
- Ability to use precision tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) to take accurate measurements
- Knowledge of the properties of metal and other material
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals
- Good at math with analytical abilities
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items
- Previous experience operating Brake Press, Punch Press, Drill Press, Hand Metal Forming or a combination or those skills required
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship preferred but not required
