Madden Industrial Craftsmen, a premier staffing firm, is currently seeking a dedicated Machinist Helper for one of our clients in Seattle, WA. As a Machinist Helper, you will be responsible for performing various duties under supervision, including machine cleaning, use of hand tools, chipping, burring, rough grinding, application of protective coatings, material lifting, hoisting, and conveyance (excluding cab-operated bridge and/or mobile crane operation), as well as uncrating, crating, and storing items.
Pay Rate: $18-$25 Per Hour DOE
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
Clean machines and work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
Utilize hand tools for tasks such as chipping, burring, and rough grinding.
Apply protective coatings to machinery components.
Lift, hoist, and convey materials, adhering to safety guidelines.
Assist higher classified employees in machine set-up, bench and floor assembly, and mechanical maintenance.
Safely uncrate, crate, and store items as needed.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a similar machinist helper or general labor role is preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
Comfortable using hand tools for various tasks.
Capacity to lift and handle materials within specified weight limits.
Willingness to assist higher classified employees in machine set-up, assembly, and maintenance tasks.
Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
