Brooks Rand Instruments is hiring a full-time manufacturing and assembly technician to assist in the assembly, testing, and preparation of our high-precision instruments. We are seeking a bright, hard-working, enthusiastic individual with strong communication and attention to detail. Experience working on assembly lines is a plus!
Ideal candidates will possess the following:
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); or min six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with assembly work, preferably in analytical instruments or similar technical fields
Experience using soldering iron to connect electronic components
Experience using hand crimper to joints between the connector and the wire
Familiarity with using part/assembly drawing to assemble sub-assembly/instruments
Familiarity with using hand tools and basic mechanical equipment
Basic understanding of electronics, instrumentation, or mechanical systems is a plus
Technicians duties include (but are not limited to) assisting with the assembly of analytical instrumentation from start to finish; helping with the preparation and installation of individual components and parts; performing quality control checks to ensure instruments meet strict specifications; working closely with the engineering, production and laboratory teams to ensure smooth operations; adhering to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace; and other duties as assigned.
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00 hourly (DOE). This is a full-time position that is eligible for the following benefits after a brief waiting period: medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability insurance, 401(k), health and dependent care FSA plans, employee assistance program, 15 days of paid time off per year for sick leave and/or vacation, 3 days paid bereavement leave, and 6 paid holidays per year.
The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, from 9:00am - 5:30pm.
