Ensure that project systems are designed and built to meet the required customer contract, comply with all regulations and requirements, meet the quality standards of Mavrik Marine and meet the organizational, operational and financial goals of the company. Exhibit excellent leadership qualities by maintaining efficient and cohesive work teams. Supervises all functions of the vessel mechanical systems production, including: reviewing and providing input on vessel construction bids, construction planning and scheduling, supervision of assigned staff, material purchasing issues associated with the Mechanical systems construction of the vessel. Directly supervises Mechanical Systems leads.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Development of preliminary ship mechanical and mechanical control systems required per customer and design
architect specifications, and compliance with regulatory body requirements, including but not limited to diesel-
electric driven systems, navigation, communication, HVAC, electric convenience, lighting and other electro-
mechanical systems and their interface components.
2. Development of marine vessel mechanical systems, review and analyzing preliminary and functional design
documentation and development of vessel mechanical system specifications.
3. Development of mechanical component arrangements, weight assessments, integration and auxiliary systems.
4. Take ownership of each assigned project by thoroughly examining the bid and vessel specifications prior to contract
negotiations and providing input to the project manager.
5. Develop detailed mechanical systems production schedules that is consistent with the project labor budget and
coordinate scheduling in the Microsoft Project timeline.
6. Provide leadership on each assigned project by facilitating the establishment of goals and objectives that will
contribute to an orderly and efficient execution of staff responsibilities.
7. Develop all mechanical systems equipment purchase order requests for the assigned vessels.
8. Work in conjunction with the Project Manager on internal and USCG inspections (when applicable), staffing
assignments, equipment and facility requirements.
9. Participate in and provide updates in regular product meetings.
10. Documentation and tracking of all mechanical systems integration related activities
11. Supervise the day-to-day mechanical systems integration of the vessels. Motivate, inspire, and provide the
leadership necessary to provide an excellent and stimulating work environment for the Mavrik Marine staff.
12. Performs other activities required to accomplish the mission, goals and objectives of Mavrik Marine Inc. as defined
by the President.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES
Aluminum boat fabrication, Marine propulsion and mechanical outfitting.
USCG, ABYC and other recognized marine standards.
Exhibit management skills, including leadership / supervisory skills, problem analysis and decision making,
planning and organizing, interpersonal sensitivity, management control, adaptability/flexibility, stress tolerance and
time management.
