Senior Builder - Wood-Shop
Compensation: $60,000-75,000+ based on experience

Plum Fabrication is a high-end custom cabinet and furniture shop seeking a Senior Builder with a minimum of 5 years experience in a production fabrication environment The ability to manage projects from pre-production planning through manufacturing is a requisite, as is an in-depth understanding of reading plans and participating in production issues as they arise. Knowledge of both sheet products and solid wood production, as well as a high degree of competence ranging from fine woodworking hand tools through shop equipment will be necessary for success. Experience with fine finishing is also highly desirable.
This position would join a small team to create highly detailed cabinetry and furniture for both residential and commercial spaces. Applicants must bring a strong work ethic, reliable communication skills, professionalism and a team based approach over individual ego.
Requirements:
5 years of cabinetry experience or similar woodworking fabrication experience
The ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a fabrication environment
Familiarity with varied wood species, grain, and characteristics
The ability to read, comprehend, and communicate detailed shop drawings
Understanding of basic arithmetic, algebra, geometry
Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
Physical strength and stamina: perform tasks that require extensive physical labor, including lifting heavy objects and operating hand and power tools
Valid WA DL. Occasional driving of a company vehicle may be required,
Organization skills, tool maintenance, and CNC operation experience are a plus.
