Job Description Shop Hand – General Laborer Trainee

Purpose:

Looking to find a dynamic production team-member to learn and master multiple facets of our manufacturing plant. Primarily to support production work-flow, learn and master upholstery & commercial furniture manufacturing.

Reports to:

Production Manager

Pay: $19.22 - $22.65/HR. (DOE)

Benefits, PTO, 401K offered.

FLSA:

Hourly Non-Exempt (hourly rate plus overtime). Standard company benefits outlined in Employee Handbook.

Education/Experience Required:

High School Diploma/GED

1-3 years production experience in a manufacturing environment.

Valid Driver’s License

Primary Responsibilities:

Must be able to communicate effectively.

Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

Framing construction knowledge a plus.

Able to use basic hand power tools.

Able to measure accurately

Basic upholstery knowledge a plus

Learn and master laminating

Learn and master foam applications

Able to use and understand ERP / Computer functions

Ability to read drawings a plus

530AM – 2:30 PM Mon-Friday. Overtime may be required.

Time Management - Able to plan ahead to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Plans and organizes a personal daily work routine.

Physical Capabilities - Ability to sit, stand &/or walk for long periods of time, if required. Able to bend, kneel, stoop, lift and carry. Able to lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted.

MVR – Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report in accordance with company requirements.

Hours – Ability to work early morning or late evening, if required, for particular customer job.
