All About Down is a small down bedding manufacturer and repair shop based in the Greenwood-Seattle neighborhood. For the past 50 years, we have been creating European type down comforters and pillows, both new and re-covered, both practical and beautiful. All About Down also offers cleaning and repair services for bedding, outdoor wear and gear.
We are looking for skilled Sewing Machine Operators and Fabric Cutters to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have experience with measuring and cutting large bolts of fabric and experience with industrial sewing machines. Attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
Responsibilities:
· Measure and cut large pieces of fabric
· Operate industrial serger and sewing machines to stitch both small and large pieces of fabric
· Attach zippers and/or piping to fabric
· Measuring weight (down, feather, or fabric) with a scale
· Filling empty pillow or comforter shells with down or feathers
· Patching and mending
