Lumen Bioscience is hiring several Temporary Production/Manufacturing Assistants to support our packaging and assembly operations. In this role, you’ll perform straightforward, hands-on tasks such as cutting plastic, thermoforming blister trays, sealing wallet cards, and preparing materials.

Role Description:
Packaging & Assembly Operations: Perform routine production tasks including cutting plastic sheets, operating basic thermoforming equipment to produce blister trays, sealing wallet cards, and assembling components according to standard operating procedures.
Line Support & Material Handling: Stage materials, load and unload parts, organize finished product, and help keep workstations stocked and orderly.
Safety & Quality: Follow all safety rules and basic quality checks (e.g., visual inspection, counting, labeling) to ensure products meet specifications and are packaged correctly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow written and verbal instructions to complete simple, repetitive tasks such as:
o Cutting plastic.
o Operating thermoforming equipment to make blister trays.
o Sealing wallet cards and assembling basic packaging components.
Perform visual inspections to identify obvious defects (e.g., miscuts, incomplete seals, damaged parts).
Keep work area clean and organized, including basic daily cleaning of work surfaces and equipment.
Follow personal safety and equipment safety guidelines at all times, including proper use of PPE.
Accurately count, label, and package materials according to instructions.
Communicate clearly with leads and teammates if there are issues with materials, equipment, or quality.
Support production schedules by being punctual, dependable, and able to maintain consistent pace throughout the shift.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
o No specific prior experience required; training will be provided.
o Ability to:
Understand and follow basic written and verbal instructions in English.
Perform repetitive tasks with consistent quality and attention to detail.
Work safely with simple equipment (e.g., cutters, heat sealers, thermoforming machines) after training.
o Reliable attendance and punctuality for a full-time, Monday–Friday schedule.
o Positive, team-oriented attitude and willingness to learn.
Desirable Qualifications:
o Prior experience in any production, warehouse, or light manufacturing environment.
o Comfort working with simple hand tools or basic production equipment.
o Experience in a setting that emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and following standardized procedures.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for an 8-hour shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 65 lbs.
Ability to use hands and fingers for handling small parts and operating simple equipment.
Comfortable and safe using step stools or small ladders per company safety protocols.
Ability to work in a production environment that requires wearing appropriate PPE.
