Overview
We are a fast paced production environment seeking Utility Operators to join our team. The Utility Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining various equipment to ensure the efficient and safe operation of utility systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing routine maintenance tasks. Multi-tasking and juggling priorities is a daily routine and with that comes a need for sound judgment.
Position Description:
The accountabilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Operate a loader / backhoe / skidsteer safely and efficiently
Complete groundwork / Labor
Maintain a high level of housekeeping
Assist with other duties as required
Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs as needed.
Monitor utility consumption and make adjustments to optimize efficiency.
Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Willing to learn and take direction
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies
Possess good interpersonal and communications skills to deal effectively with suppliers, clients, co‐workers and
management
Previous experience operating utility systems preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Overtime and occasional weekends, in addition to covering shift work as needed
