Production Apprentice
Foam injection molding. No experience necessary, on the job training provided!
Full Time, Weekend Hours, Schedule TBD (PT Considered)
Wage Range $20 - $22 per hour (DOE)
SUMMARY: Provide support throughout all production departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Gain competency-level skill in production departments as needed
Hit daily production quota and quality standards
Understand, support, and execute all work in a safe manner using the established procedures, methods, and safe working requirements.
Assist the production supervisors as needed
Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform tasks throughout production
Support all production operators, systems, & tools to achieve optimal workflow
Participate in continuous improvement processes
Maintain a professional demeanor
Stock supplies as needed
Ensure work areas are kept clean
Performs other duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Strong communication skills
Willing to be flexible and accountable to business demands in production
Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
Ability to frequently grasp, open, close, and move molds/tools using hands and wrists
Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs. and frequently lift up to approximately 30 lbs.,
Ability to constantly stand, ability to frequently walk within department,
Ability to push, pull, pry, bend, squat and reach throughout the shift
Ability to frequently see up close, peripherally and have depth perception in order to inspect product
Ability to constantly recognize different colors of resins and materials used in production
Ability to frequently perform repetitive routine production procedures accurately throughout the shift
Ability to cross train and rotate to all production areas
Ability to understand and use different types of basic computers and touch screen
