Role:
To grow and sustain a vibrant, dynamic music program that creates an emotional connection/promotes the spiritual life of our congregation through the ministry of music. Collaborate with the Pastor to reinforce service themes through a diversity of musical expression consistent with the mission/theology of the United Church of Christ.
Responsibilities include:
Choir Direction/Accompaniment
Worship Services: setup/play service music
Planning/Coordinating
Managing music budget
Maintaining music library
Experience/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Previous experience directing a choir and/or relevant church background
Able to play one or more instruments
Ability to lead a variety of music styles
Time Commitment:
Average 10 hours per week, with the understanding that the actual hours worked will depend on the season.
