Are you a social media whiz? Are you a people person?

Monroe Community Senior Center is looking for someone to coordinate our Media and Member Services.

Position Function:

The primary responsibility of this position is to manage social, digital & print media & coordinate volunteers for MCSC.

Responsibilities:

 Create print flyers, brochures, postcards, infographics, etc. to display around MCSC and community.

 Create and contribute content and digital media for website, email blasts, Facebook posts, press releases, newsletter publication, etc. Monitor and respond to social media comments.

 Establish and maintain good working relationships with community groups and businesses.

 Coordinate MCSC volunteer process – recruiting, vetting, interviewing, orientation, and scheduling.

 Retain volunteers through meaningful and regular contact, follow-ups and recognition.

 Encourage participation from membership and the general public in volunteerism.

 Assist with coordination of and attend events. Use event protocol and wrap-up.

 Oversee and grow the MCSC GEM Club.

 Ensure proper table/chair setup for classes/events.

 Actively work on new activity ideas.

 Assist with transportation program and nutrition program as needed.

 Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

 Ability to relate to people of diverse backgrounds and lifestyles.

 Excellent written and verbal communication skills with staff, volunteers and seniors.

 Ability to respond to multiple demands in a courteous and effective manner.

 Proficient with Microsoft Office products and social media platforms.

 Ability to multi-task in a high-energy environment and contribute positively within a team.

 Must have a valid WA state Driver’s License and knowledge of safe vehicle operation.

 Ability to adapt to changes as they arise with a positive attitude.

 Good time management skills and ability to prioritize.

 Food Handler's Card required.

 Must be able to lift 25 pounds.

Hours of work: Part time, 12 hours per week. Occasionally requires predetermined evenings and weekends
