ABOUT THE POSITION: The Shift Supervisor provides staff leadership and oversight of the shift ensuring quality of the program operations. This position provides direct services to clients, as well as supervision of staff in partnership with the Program Coordinator and/or Program Manager. Whether ensuring the Policies and Procedures are followed or providing administrative support this position will receive direct support from the Program Coordinator

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Located in Auburn, WA, Don’s Place is a hybrid housing program combining aspects of both Compass’ Enhanced Shelter and Permanent Supportive Housing Programs. It provides non-time limited emergency housing with 24/7 supportive services for adults and couples. Referrals for Program Participants will be received from Coordinated Entry for All and the local Auburn community. In addition to supportive services, Program Participants have access to daily meals, 24/7 staffing, laundry, and other resources including referrals and linkages to medical and mental health services and other benefits to assist in addressing any barriers to long term housing.

LOCATION: Near Emerald Downs (Auburn, WA)

REPORTS TO: Program Coordinator

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

SCHEDULE #1: Friday-Tuesday 4pm-12am; with monthly staff meetings on 1st Monday, 3rd Thursday and 4th Monday

SCHEDULE #2: Friday-Tuesday 11:55pm-8am; with monthly staff meetings on 1st Monday, 3rd Thursday and 4th Monday

SALARY RANGE:$26.15-$29.49 per hour DOE and within Compass ranges

FULL TIME BENEFITS INCLUDE: Unlimited Orca Transportation Pass, Medical/Prescription/Vision, Dental, $500 Health Flexible Spending Account 4 Weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO) & 11 Paid Holidays, Retirement Plan, Employee Assistance Program.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED, required.

1 year of relatable supervisory experience, desired.

A minimum of 1-year of experience in human services, shelter, residential (work and/or volunteer), desired.

Awareness and/or training around issues of equity, intersectionality, and belonging, desired.

Familiarity with issues of housing instability, mental health, substance use, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence. Experience working in an environment where language may be a barrier, desired.

Current WA State Food Handlers Permit, desired (If not current, will be sponsored within 1-month of hire).

Professional experience with local social services database such as HMIS, a plus.

Valid WA driver’s license, proof of car insurance, and a driving record that meets Compass standards, required.

Work experience is a key factor for success in this role. In addition, success in this role requires a passion for knowledge and drive for continuing professional development or education. A degree in social work or related field would be a complement to the required experience.
