Part-time w/ Benefits - Office Administrator

You would be responsible for a broad variety of administrative tasks supporting the Minister, Staff, Board of Trustees, and Congregation, specifically:

Manage the church office, church facilities, meeting and building schedules.

Provide support and collaborate with other staff, church leaders, and volunteers on issues related to the administrative affairs of the church.

Work with the bookkeeper on accounts payable and receivable, and bank deposits.

Prepare and distribute written materials such as weekly emails, newsletters, and Sunday publications.

Update the church website (it's on Weebly which is very easy to learn).

Answer phone and email during scheduled work hours.

Maintain church membership and donation databases and other records.

Purchase supplies.

The employee must authorize a WA State Background check.

Minimum Qualifications

The Office Administrator must have the following skills:

1-2 years of experience in an administrative function

Basic office skills (telephone, keyboarding, filing, organizing, managing)

Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office, etc.

Ability to prioritize work, juggle tasks, and work independently

Ability to work well with others, including the public

Ability to maintain confidentiality

Detail oriented

Ability to problem solve and ask for help

Strong written and oral communication

Desired Qualifications

Experience with a membership database or willingness to learn.

Experience working in a non-profit organization

Support of Unitarian Universalist principles and practices.

Access to a car in order to deliver bank deposits.

Work Schedule

Work schedule will be arranged with the Minister, including occasional Sunday mornings. Some duties can be done remotely and others must be done in person at the church office.
