Payroll Specialist

We are a locally owned contractor providing construction services for public and private clients in the Puget Sound area since 1994. We are committed to bringing our clients complete satisfaction on each project, from residential driveways to commercial projects to heavy highway paving.

We are seeking a Payroll Manager to join us at our Issaquah corporate office. If you have a passion for your work, a desire to achieve results and the ability to creatively solve problems, come join our team. The Payroll Manager performs the full range of weekly payroll processing. This includes maintaining employee files and sensitive employee data on the company drive and inputting/processing weekly timecards into the payroll system. This person works closely with the operations staff to ensure timecard reporting is timely and accurate.

Job Overview/Essential Functions:

Weekly payroll for multiple companies

Payroll processing for Private/Prevailing Wage/PLA projects

File of Intents & Affidavits for Public Works projects

Union reporting to multiple unions

Online payroll reporting portals (e.g. LCP Tracker, L&I, eMARS, etc.)

Light HR duties including new hire setup and benefits maintenance

Employee Benefits – enrollment, deduction maintenance, termination

Experience & Requirements:

Bachelors Degree preferred (Human Resources, Business Administration, Construction Management, Accounting or related field)

Proven work experience as an Payroll manager or similar role

Highly proficient using a personal computer (PC) and Microsoft Products (e.g. Word, Excel, Office, Outlook)

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Strong communication skills, both oral and written

Experience with Sage (or similar) accounting software systems

Construction accounting experience

Payroll experience relating to Public Works, PLA and Union requirements

Experience working with multiple entities

Self‐starter with the ability to work independently and on a team

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
