Job Title: Personal Assistant to Interior Designer

Location: Seattle, WA - Office located in Madison Park

Job Type: Part Time, Approx. 20 hours per week, Flexible Hours

Reports To: Principal Interior Designer

Hourly: $35/hr - hiring as an independent contractor

Job Overview:

Seeking a highly organized, proactive, and resourceful Personal Assistant to support a dynamic and fast-paced Interior Designer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily administrative tasks, coordinating client and vendor communications, and providing hands-on assistance with project logistics. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with a creative professional and gain insight into the interior design industry.

About the Designer and Firm, Brooke Bevis Design:

With over 12 years of experience, this design firm specializes in creating custom, bespoke residential interiors. Based in the Seattle area, the firm focuses primarily on remodels and the curation of updated furnishings across a wide variety of home styles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Support:

Manage calendars, appointments, and travel arrangements

Handle email correspondence and phone communications

Prepare invoices, expense reports, and basic bookkeeping

Maintain digital and physical filing systems

Project Coordination:

Assist with scheduling and confirming client meetings, site visits, and installations

Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers

Help manage sample requests, returns, and material orders

Design Support:

Research furniture, fixtures, and materials

Organize sample room in office - fabrics, wallpaper, tiles, etc.

Assistant with installs and photoshoots

Take meeting notes and assist with documenting design decisions

Personal Support:

Run errands, including purchasing supplies or picking up samples

Assist with occasional personal tasks to help manage the designer’s day-to-day schedule

Qualifications:

Prior experience as a personal assistant, executive assistant, or office manager

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail

Must be proactive, flexible, and able to work independently

Reliable transportation - must have a reliable car as much of the job will be driving around to vendors, clients, running errands
