The work this person does is vital and will have a substantial impact on resident housing stability and their ability to thrive. The ideal candidate will care deeply about our mission and our residents and will be a self-starter, have excellent communication skills, strong organizational capabilities, and exercise innovative approaches to problem solving.We are looking for a person with an upbeat personality, a human services background, a collaboration mindset, and comfortable working with a diverse variety of cultures and viewpoints. The Resident Service Coordinator will assist their community by guiding residents towards appropriate services and resources that enhances their quality of life and supports residents to maintain stable housing and live independently. This work is primarily accomplished in concert with individual residents by assisting them to connect to programs and community resources that enhance their physical, social, and mental well-being. They will also be responsible to plan and organize programs and activities such as health fairs, educational programs, and social activities that promote community. This work is done in partnership with the property management team and local community partners.Responsibilities:The Resident Service Coordinator position requires an ability to work independently in a non-traditional human service setting with a diverse population. Reporting to the Aging and Disabilities Services Program Manager, this position will work with residents in a professional and caring manner to assess and assist with resolving resident issues that risk their housing, health, and well-being. You will work with residents to establish trust and help identify service barriers and unmet needs to provide referrals to local partners/resources and appropriate supportive services. You will help residents apply for entitlement programs or other necessary social service supports and participate in developing community partnerships. You and your housing management team will work collaboratively to resolve tenant issues and foster community building by implementing on-site activities and events that encourage well-being and independent living goals.Minimum RequirementsIn depth knowledge of available social services related to Seniors and Adults with Disabilities and an understanding of eligibility requirements to make appropriate referrals.Ability to speak, read, and write in English and prepare documents at a professional level.Strong ability and knowledge of computers, Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word & Excel), including data management software systems.The ability to build trust and connect with residents using professional boundaries and good judgement.Experience & EducationOption #1:A Bachelor's degree in social services, health or human services;PLUSTwo years of paid direct service experience with senior and adult populations with mental health and co-occurring health issues;OR:Option #2:An Associate's degree in social services, health or human services;PLUSFour years of paid direct service experience with senior and adult populations with mental health and co-occurring health issues;OR:Option #3:Six years of paid direct service experience with senior and adult populations with mental health and co-occurring health issuesPI239114496 Apply
