We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team, ensuring our properties are maintained to the highest standards and our residents enjoy a safe and welcoming living environment.
Position Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our properties. You will be responsible for addressing daily maintenance requests, performing preventative maintenance, and assisting in keeping the community in pristine condition. You will be working primarily in Tacoma with 91 units.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards.
Perform repairs and maintenance on building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify maintenance needs and report any safety concerns.
Assist with the turnover of vacant units, ensuring they are ready for new residents by performing repairs, painting, and cleaning as needed.
Support the Maintenance Supervisor in executing preventative maintenance schedules and maintaining property equipment.
Maintain the grounds, including trash removal, landscaping, and snow removal as needed.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies.
Qualifications:
2+ years of maintenance experience, preferably in residential or property management.
Basic knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
Certification in HVAC, EPA, or other relevant trades is a plus but not required.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
Availability to respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
Desired Background: We are looking for candidates with a strong hands-on background in property maintenance, including:
Experience in multifamily housing, commercial properties, or similar environments.
Previous roles such as Maintenance Technician, Building Engineer, or Facilities Maintenance.
Ability to use tools and equipment safely and effectively to perform maintenance tasks.
Familiarity with property management software and maintenance tracking systems is a plus.
