Position Overview:
Summit and Terrace is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Farmers Market Associate to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who loves interacting with people, is passionate about candles and fragrances, and enjoys being part of a vibrant, local market scene. You’ll be the face of our brand at the famous Ballard Farmers Market, helping customers discover our unique products inspired by Mediterranean fragrances.
Key Responsibilities:
Pick up cart and product at our shop on Ballard Ave and walk 1 min with cart to space.
Set up and tear down the booth at the Ballard Farmers Market each Sunday.
Engage and welcome customers, answer questions about our candles and fragrances, and provide product recommendations.
Handle card transactions accurately.
Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing display.
Assist with product restocking and inventory management.
Represent Summit and Terrace with enthusiasm and professionalism, building relationships with regular customers.
Promote special offers, new product launches, and events.
Requirements:
Passion for candles, fragrances, and local businesses.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work Sundays, from 8 am to 3 pm.
Comfortable with light physical activity such as lifting and setting up displays.
Comfortable standing for the entirety of the market 9-2pm.
Experience in retail or sales is a plus, but not required.
Must be punctual, reliable, and able to work independently.
