We are a small close-knit team looking to add 2-3-part part-time employees with potential for full-time come February. Open availability is preferred but at the very least you must be available Friday-Monday.
We are not looking to fill morning positions, as those shifts are earned with hard work and seniority
Being a small team, we are selective with whom we hire but in the best way possible. Maintaining our current team atmosphere is very important to us. Happy employees = happy customers. Something you do not find often in this industry, especially big corporate pot shops. We do not look at our employees as just another hire but an investment. This position is at minimum a one-year commitment.
With that being said, our employees put in hard work daily, as this is NOT a slow shop, even if customers are not present. We stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and run back and forth constantly on shift. Please do not apply if you are expecting this to be an ‘easy’ job.
Daily duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Checking IDs properly and identifying fake IDs or minors
Greet customers warmly and assist in selecting cannabis products based on their needs and preferences while also creating and maintaining customer relationships through education and connection
Educate customers about responsible consumption, product usage, and legal regulations surrounding cannabis use.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of various strains, products, and their effects
Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash handling and operating the cash register
Ensure that the sales floor is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing by managing inventory and restocking products as needed.
Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone.
Maintaining state (DOH and WSLCB) compliance and store policies at all times
Creating spaces for incoming products and prepping for daily incoming shipments
Maintaining professionalism regardless of situations
General cleaning and overall presentation of the store
You do not need industry experience to apply, although it is preferred.
For those with industry experience, we operate differently than most stores and we need to be able to train you to our standards and kick any old habits from past jobs that don't apply to us.
Regardless of experience or not, we ask that those who apply have a true hunger for knowledge and education even on their own accord. This is a job with several growth opportunities, after proving yourself a dedicated and trustworthy team member.
We ask that those who apply have reliable transportation and live within 10-15 miles of the shop. If you are selected to interview we ask that you come prepared with knowledge of terpenes, extraction methods, growing processes, pesticide usage, legalities, strain info, brand knowledge, and more. All are very easily attainable through the Internet.
