Immediate need for a shopper who can efficiently select and gather orders from store shelves while actively monitoring delivery timelines, ensuring prompt order completion and communication with customers regarding potential delays or substitutions, acting as a bridge between the shopping process and order delivery.
Responsibilities:
♦ Order Picking: Accurately selecting items from store shelves based on customer grocery lists, paying close attention to product specifications and substitutions when necessary.
♦ Inventory Management: Checking stock levels to ensure availability of ordered items and notifying management of potential out-of-stock situations.
♦ Time Management: Prioritizing orders based on delivery deadlines and maintaining a fast pace to meet customer expectations.
♦ Customer Communications: Updating customers on order status, notifying them of any substitutions or delays, and addressing any concerns promptly.
♦ Quality Control: Inspecting items for damage or expiry dates before bagging and ensuring proper packaging to maintain product quality.
♦ Freight/Logistics: Orders will be taken to an expeditor and need to be palletized onsite for succesful delivery to customers.
Requirements:
♦ Attention to detail: Accuracy in selecting items and following customer instructions is crucial
♦ Strong communication skills: Effectively communicating with customers regarding order updates and any issues.
♦ Organizational skills: Prioritizing orders and managing time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
♦ Math/Computer: Have basic math & computer skills
♦ Physical stamina: Ability to walk and lift heavy items throughout the shopping process.
♦ Large vehicle: Must be able to transport large quantities of boxes. Covered truck bed or large van ideal.
♦ Storage space: A garage, shed or other large, COVERED space is required to carefully pack items for shipment without being exposed to Seattle weather.
