Seasonal, part time and full time positions available in our nursery now.
We are a family run retail nursery and gift shop. A love of plants and helping people become a successful gardener are what we are all about. Retail experience and an understanding of plants and gardening is helpful but there are opportunities to learn on the job.
Qualifications:
Assisting customers with plant selection and sales
Ability to work as part of a team, to multitask and manage your time efficiently.
Able to walk and stand for extended periods of time
Capable of loading bags of soil for customers
Flexibility to work in the Nursery or Gift Shop, indoors or outdoors during all seasonal temperatures and conditions.
Must be dependable, punctual and able to work on your own without supervision.
Responsibilities:
Customer service-greeting and helping clients on a friendly and timely basis.
Care of nursery plants and outdoor grounds-including but not limited to- watering, cleaning, sweeping, washing and moving of plants and soils.
Receiving Nursery and Gift Shop deliveries and disbursement of same.
Covering counters and registers in both the Nursery and Gift Shop including answering phone calls.
Routine maintenance and care of greenhouses, parking areas, gift shop, outside nursery and surrounding grounds.
Assisting with landscaping and installation of product.
Assist in all areas requested by management
Extra bonus:
Former retail nursery experience.
Knowledge of plant names, care, diseases, pests and fertilizers.
Handyman skills
