Do you have a passion for gardening, and you would love to work in a garden center? This might be the job for you! Bay Hay and Feed is looking for a full-time inside nursery employee with at least 2 years of retail experience to join our awesome team.
Job description: Your primary job will be to provide customer service, answer questions, process their sales, and answer the phone. Duties also include:
· Stocking the inside nursery, pricing inventory, and assisting with receiving vendor orders.
· Learn all about house plants, fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, amendments, seeds and lawn care.
· Ensure all inventory is correctly priced and labeled.
· Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory in our Point of Sales program
· Keeping the inside nursery clean and presentable at all times.
Requirements:
· Full time job, weekends are required.
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
· Organized and detail oriented.
· Desire to proactively learn the ins and outs of each of our products and be able to share this knowledge with our customers.
· Passion for gardening.
· Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
· Ability to lift up to 40lb.
· Positive outgoing personality.
· Strong customer service experience.
