Job Description:

  • Work collaboratively with business and technical team members to deliver high visibility initiatives via state-of-the art retail technologies.
  • Strong candidates will have excellent traditional project management and Scrum Master/Agile project experience with an ability to apply each appropriately to drive project success.
  • Have an appetite for challenge and a mind for problem solving, a concise and insightful communication style when it comes to driving and leading teams to achieve dates, a good sense of humor in the face of ambiguity and an inherent ability to balance priorities.


Daily tasks:
  • Negotiate and lead the creation of project schedule, scope, resources, and budget to meet project needs across US and Global market teams.
  • Apply scrum/agile iterative development processes to drive on-time and on-budget delivery of global workforce management projects
  • Leverage project management processes and tools to manage through ambiguity and drive consensus
  • Leverage risk and issue management, leadership courage and proactive/timely communications to safeguard project resources and direct corrective measures to ensure project success
  • Bridge communication between technology and the business through targeted communications and fostering open dialog
  • Leverage formal change management processes and triple constraint priorities to communicate change impacts and maintain project oversight and control.
  • Establish project roles and responsibilities and provide team members with clear direction – including appropriate governance and decision making – and support the development of high-performing project teams
  • Create project plans detailing tasks, estimates of effort, resource requirements, quality requirements and metrics, and organizational change management activities.
  • Monitor task status, update work estimates, and incorporate new tasks into plan as needed.
  • Ensure completion of all steps required to obtain project funding and resource acquisition approval
  • Manage resource gaps and acquisitions, engage resource managers for outsourced services as needed. Track and report monthly budget accruals and variances.
  • Direct completion of applicable lifecycle deliverables in compliance with established company standards, practices, and policies.
  • Influence operational and executive leadership to create and maintain alignment around the project business objectives, measurable benefits, and success criteria.
  • Negotiate across multiple functions to resolve project conflicts and competing priorities

Preferred background/Skills:
  • Application of industry-based project management and systems development methodologies and tools – 8 years. Must include multiple project experience managing with Agile methodology, as Scrum Master.
  • Applied Information Technology (IT) project-based roles (8 years)
  • Experience with global implementations involving translation and localization
  • Building and leading distributed teams (8 years)
  • IT project management, including all elements of scope, time, cost, risk, quality, integration, procurement, human resources and communications (8 years)
  • Working with business areas to prioritize requirements and select an appropriate technology to deliver effective business solutions and achieve business benefits (5 years)
  • Requirements elicitation, and process analysis and design expertise (4 years)
  • Mentoring other project managers in project management (3 years)
  • Project management practices process improvement (3 years)
  • Scrum Master
  • Ability to navigate within a fast-paced dynamic environment with high degrees of ambiguity to deliver large and complex projects
  • Ability to maneuver through tough political situations
  • Ability to manage geographically distributed teams
  • Superior communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate to diverse audiences and all levels of the organization, able to bridge communication gaps between technology and business users, and able to foster open team communication.
